Aermotor TPMS Reset V2 Terminator – Universal Tire Pressure Monitor Reset Tool

Take full control of your vehicle's tire pressure monitoring system with the Aermotor TPMS Reset V2 Terminator. This professional-grade handheld tool activates, resets, and matches TPMS sensors on a wide range of vehicles — no dealership visit required. Whether you've rotated your tires, replaced a sensor, or just cleared a warning light, this tool gets the job done quickly and accurately.

Wide Vehicle Compatibility

The Reset V2 Terminator supports all vehicles equipped with factory-installed tire pressure sensors up to December 2017, including popular brands such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, GM, Ford, Chrysler, Renault, Peugeot, Citroën, Fiat, Iveco, Land Rover, Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Suzuki, Subaru, Hyundai, Kia, and many more.

3 Core Functions

  • Activation – Wake up and activate dormant or newly installed TPMS sensors
  • Reset – Clear TPMS warning lights after tire service or rotation
  • Match – Pair sensor IDs to the vehicle's body control module (BCM)

Button & Indicator Guide

  • Button 1: Send matching signal
  • Button 2: Low battery indicator
  • Button 3: Start matching / Matching complete
  • Green LED: Tool is actively transmitting signal

How to Use

  1. Depress the parking brake (manual transmission vehicles only).
  2. Set the ignition switch to the ON position and activate TPMS Learn Mode via the driver information center button. Two horn beeps confirm Learn Mode is active.
  3. Starting with the left front tire, hold the tool against the tire sidewall near the valve stem. Press and release the top button; wait for the horn chirp (5–60 seconds).
  4. Proceed in order: Right Front → Right Rear → Left Rear, repeating step 3 at each tire.
  5. When the left rear sensor is confirmed (two horn beeps), the process is complete and the BCM exits Learn Mode automatically.

Important Notes

  • Position the tool between the tire and hub near the air valve — not directly against the valve stem.
  • Activation wait times vary by vehicle model (approximately 5–60 seconds).
  • Vehicles with factory TPMS sensors do not support manual reset; always use a TPMS reset instrument like this one.
  • Battery not included. Requires one 9V (PP3) battery.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does the Aermotor TPMS Reset V2 Terminator work on vehicles made after 2017?

A: The TPMS Reset V2 Terminator is designed to support vehicles with factory-installed tire pressure monitoring systems manufactured up to December 2017. Compatibility with newer models is not guaranteed, so please verify your vehicle's year and TPMS type before purchasing.

Q: What battery does the TPMS Reset V2 require?

A: The tool requires a single 9V (PP3) battery, which is not included in the package. You can pick one up at any hardware or convenience store before use.

Q: What is the difference between TPMS activation, reset, and match?

A: Activation wakes up a new or dormant sensor so it begins transmitting. Reset clears the TPMS warning light after a pressure change or sensor service. Match links the sensor's unique ID to your vehicle's body control module (BCM) so the car recognizes which sensor is at which wheel position.

Q: Can I use this tool without entering TPMS Learn Mode?

A: No — your vehicle must be in TPMS Learn Mode for the tool to successfully match and register sensors. Refer to your vehicle's owner manual for the specific steps to enter Learn Mode, as the procedure varies by make and model.
