5. Divide into 4 sections. Using a 450°F / 230°C flat iron (reduce to 430°F / 200°C for damaged hair), work from the nape, taking 1/8-inch sections. Pass the iron from root to ends 5–7 times (7–10 times for extremely curly/coarse hair).
6. After 72 hours (3 days), wash with a keratin-safe shampoo and conditioner.
